Become an Inner Nature Writing™ Facilitator
Guide others through a structured, contemplative process that uses nature as a mirror for inner wisdom and creative expression.
Inner Nature Writing™ is a structured facilitation method that helps people access insight through mindful awareness, guided imagery, and writing. Participants are led through a seven-step process that moves from regulation to inner landscape to written expression and witnessing.
This is not creative writing or free journaling. It's a guided method facilitators can use to help their students explore their inner worlds in a deep, imaginal, wise, and compassionate way.
In a session, participants are supported in:
Grounding and regulating the nervous system
Awakening their imaginal inner landscape
Attuning to nature as symbol and teacher, representing some part of their own inner nature
Anchoring what they discover in the physical body
Writing, through thoughtfully crafted prompts, to clarify and express insights
Sharing (optional) in a non-interpretive space
Leaving with a grounded takeaway they can apply in daily life
In this method, nature is not something participants describe or look out at. They find it within, using nature-based imagery to access meaning.
For facilitators, Inner Nature Writing™ provides a clear structure you can rely on to lead nature-based inner journeys–while maintaining creative control to make each journey meaningful to you and your clients.
This certification is for wellness practitioners–such as yoga and meditation teachers, coaches, healers, and guides–who feel called to bring writing, nature, and self-exploration together in an intentional, structured way.
It's for anyone who...

PRACTICE: Draft Your Session Outline
The program, which begins June 2026, incorporates both live, online sessions and on-demand learning. Wherever you're based, it's possible for you to join us:
All course content will be available by June 7th. You can begin going through the work at that time.
Over the course of 3 months, there will be 3 live Zoom calls–up to 2 hours each. Your attendance is required at 1, and you must also watch the recordings of any you cannot attend.
The bulk of your learning and practice will come from going through the online course material on your own. You can bring any questions that arise to our live sessions together, or email them to me at any time during the course duration.
You'll have homework to complete within 3 months of our final live call. Certification will be issued upon review if your work is thoughtfully completed.
Over 3 months, you have the chance to join 3 live sessions (your attendance is mandatory at a minimum of 1 live session). The calls will last up to 2 hours and include Inner Nature Writing™ and space for Q&A.
Zoom Call #1: Sunday, June 7th, 2026, 8:30pm CET
Zoom Call #2: Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, 8:30pm CET
Zoom Call #3: Sunday, August 30th, 2026, 8:30pm CET
This is our first cohort, but read what people have said about our other offers...
“I’ve recently started the Nature Meditation Teacher Certification Course, and I’m already deeply and positively touched by it — even after just a few lessons. Gillian’s authentic perspective and depth of wisdom feel truly precious. I’m receiving so many insights and so much inspiration, clarity, and that will certainly enrich both my personal practice and my teaching.”
“You can tell how much care and thought Gillian has put into shaping this program. Each lesson feels intentional and layered with insight, and the workbook provides plenty of space for reflection and personal growth. I often find myself pausing to really sit with the material and notice how it connects with my own experiences in nature... It’s been a genuinely transformative process, and I’m grateful to be part of it.”
“Gillian's nature meditation scripts inspire and sooth. They are a rare combination of depth, insight, and accessibility.”
“As one who has spent an inordinate amount of time in nature, Gillian’s “Inner Forest” makes me feel an even greater interconnection with all living things. I look forward to her live meditations through her Inner Forest School and Insight Timer, and always make space for them regardless of how busy my day may be. It has been a blessing to know that Gillian and I have this opportunity to share some of our short time on earth together.”
“When I found Gillian I knew instantly her teachings were for me... Her offerings are gentle and supportive and I always feel more regulated and at ease after listening to one of Gillian's meditations... Her autumn and letting go practices are very timely just now and her short compassionate based prayers are beautiful. Thank you Gillian. Truly, from one facilitator to another, I am full of gratitude for your teachings and generosity. ”
Many participants who join will already guide others in some capacity–as coaches, teachers, or wellness practitioners. But some people join because they're interested in beginning to hold space for others, and this method offers a clear structure for doing that.
This process can be weaved into your work in a variety of ways–in 1:1 sessions, as online or in-person group offerings, during nature walks, wellbeing programs, retreats, and more.
Certainly not–but you're welcome to. The nature we work with during this process is internal, in two ways: it awakens the natural world through visualization and also our inner nature... the wise, wild, effortless part of ourselves.
This course is mostly self-paced and on-demand, so you can complete it at your own schedule. We offer 3 live sessions during the course and your attendance is required at one minimum. The others you can watch a replay of.
The homework required for certification is as follows: 1) Completing a course workbook that mirrors the on-demand lessons, 2) Submitting reflections of your own experience with the 3 Inner Nature Writing™ sessions offered during the course (one must be attended live), and 3) Two self-assessment forms of you leading this work for others–fellow students, friends, family, or clients, in group or 1:1 sessions.
